Physical Geography
The physical geography of Sierra Leone includes savanna, mountain, forest, and river. The Loma Mountains is the highest mountain range in Sierra Leone. The highest peak is Peak Bintumani. It is 6,381 feet high.The lower slopes of the Loma Mountains are home to rain forests. The Guinea Highlands are also in Sierra Leone. The Guinea Highlands is a densely forested mountainous plateau.
14% of Sierra Leone is coastal plains and interior plains cover 43%. That adds up to 57% of Sierra Leone being plains, 22% plateaus and 21% mountains and hills. There are also forests but there are not many.
